EGHUDU COMMUNITY ON FOCUS

OFTA NEWS EDITION FOUR

In the Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State, Edo South to be precise is the home of some group of Binis that has been loyal to the king since the world. The inhabitants of this land are mostly farmers’ hunters and fishermen. Sometimes, they use boats for transportation during their fishing adventures. But the main access of the people is the road leading to the major Ekenwan Road. They also use the boat to transport themselves from one end of the river to the other.
They are also good Hunters as they never go to the forest without coming back with one kind of animal or the other. This village will be said to be located in the hills as the river is about 5 meter below the ground level.
Eghudu occupies a large square land of about 4 miles at each side with about 3500 inhabitants dwelling in the land. Eghudu community has subordinate camps that are paying homage to them within the domain the community is covering. Eghudu village housed several kinds of natural endowment that can take even a Nation to a greater glory. The land is fertile for agricultural produces. Some of the great farmers that the State has ever produced are from in this village. The eagle eyes of the grand eucalypts of the Gofta world group, cited this land from a distance of about 100 kilometers away, and decided to trace the tiny sparkle that led the way to this human sustainer.
The Odionwere of the community Mr. German Omorogbe is a man of inestimable value, as he recognized the presence of the goftans in his community he quickly embraced it. The first farming project ever instituted was carried out in one of the virgin land of the community. The indigenes of this land have done the best they have to make this community a habitable for people; by maintaining the only access road to this community regularly. They also put all available means within their disposal to secure the only primary school they have. Since the construction of a medical centre has been completed by the government for the community, they have been doing their best to protect it. Even though it has not been commissioned.
From the effort of the people so far; there is no doubt that Eghudu community needs constant P.H.C.N energy supply in order to run the health centre effectively.
he community also needs a secondary school so that the pupils that pass out of the primary school can conveniently continue in the secondary without coming back to the city, to populate it.
Eghudu indigenes needs good road in order for them to be able to convey their agricultural produces to the markets.

The great and prospective farmers of the community mostly the Gofta farmers needs to be  reimbursed; so that they will be able to meet their targeted produce for the farming season. to enable them, make food available for all.
